All Nativity students participate in learning Japanese once a week. They are involved in learning how to communicate in Japanese orally and in written form. Learning another language also helps us to think about our own language and how it is structured. A very important part of learning another language is learning about the culture of that country. We look at festivals and important events in the year, how Japanese people live and work, its geography, history, politics and economics. It’s not all hard work – the best part about learning another language is that it is FUN!
